Bio
I’m a journalist, editor, and researcher with more than 20 years of experience across newsrooms, nonprofits, and academic settings in South Asia and North America. I’ve held senior editorial roles at multiple startup and legacy publications, and my writing and editing have appeared in outlets including The Guardian, The Sunday Times, and The Daily Beast.
Alongside journalism, I’ve led and contributed to long-form research and policy writing for organizations such as Open Society Foundations and the International Crisis Group, producing reports on disinformation, political conflict, media ecosystems, and civic space. I’m a graduate of Columbia Journalism School and have taught journalism and writing at the university level. Based in Montreal, I work with writers and organizations looking to shape complex ideas into clear, engaging prose.
Services Offered
I offer writing, editing, and editorial support across formats, including reported articles, op-eds, essays, memoirs, research reports, and ghostwritten pieces. My editing services range from developmental and structural editing to line and copyediting. I also provide story coaching, pitch development, and close, collaborative editorial guidance tailored to each project.
Special Interests
Long-form journalism, magazine writing, profiles, interviews and op-eds; politics, public policy, and global affairs; human rights, disinformation, and violent extremism; migration and media. I particularly enjoy working with emerging writers and mission-driven organizations.
