Jennifer studied Journalism and her early career was in news with Global Television, local newspapers, and radio reporting. She moved into documentary TV series, and this led her through a 30-year career in factual, lifestyle, and children’s programming. She has been a director, producer, and executive producer with numerous production companies, and has produced hundreds of hours of television for North American and International broadcasters.
Jennifer held an interim role as head of children’s programming at Kids CBC, and four years as head of preschool television at TVO Kids. Her work has been nominated for a Gemini, and awarded the Youth Media Alliance Award of Excellence.
Jennifer has written, edited, and consulted on shows in both development and production, including scripts and completed pilots. She has written numerous voice-over scripts, and directed recording sessions. Outside of television, Jennifer has written mobile games and corporation documents, as well as edited many academic reports and essays. Most recently she is writing, developing and producing factual series for companies in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
Virtual or In Person: Script writing, editing, and consulting. TV series development, and proposal or pitch writing. Voice-over or narrative writing, directing and auditioning.
No matter what genre, Jennifer loves story, and enthusiastically seeks it out. Structure, character development, creativity and humour are her strong suits. With a vast interest she has written for everything from crime to car restoration to historical to paranormal shows. Coming up with new and unique ideas and approaches is her passion. She is also writing a YA novel and magazine article.
