Muriel Gold is the author of seven books, including a family memoir (Tell Me Why Nights are Lonesome) and three books on Quebec theatre history. Her books have been uniformly praised by book reviewers. Her most recent book titles are: SPEAK UP! THE STORY OF MADAME JEAN-LOUIS AUDET Pioneer of Quebec Stage, Radio and the French Language and in French translation PLUS FORT! L’histoire de Madame Audet  Pionnière du theatre, de la radio québécoises, amoureuse de la langue française.

Muriel conducts workshops for the Quebec Writers’ Federation and elsewhere, providing coaching, editing, and personal feedback.  In recognition of her lifetime achievement in drama and theatre she was appointed a member of the Order of Canada in 2007. Muriel co-edited with Janet Hopkins  Black in a White World  by Constance Wheat Batty  listed in Summer Highlights 2021 by Barnes and Noble.
