Bio
Matt Holland is a screenwriter, story editor and script consultant from Montreal. He is a graduate of the MA program in Creative Writing (English Literature) at Concordia University and of both the Writers’ Lab and the Professional Screenwriting Programme at the Canadian Film Centre. Produced work includes short scripts (Drop Off, Whistleblowers Anonymous), feature films (Gone Dark, a.k.a. The Limit) and episodic television (Moose TV). Fluently bilingual, Matt co-wrote and co-created the comedy series Toi & Moi, which ran for 3 seasons on Ici-Radio-Canada and ARTV. He has recently completed a feature script rewrite for EMA Films and is currently developing a new comedy series in English for Pixcom Productions.
Matt has worked extensively as a story editor/script consultant for Item 7, Rezolution Pictures, Encore Entertainment, the CFC, The Movie Network (Harold Greenberg Fund) and others. He was also a content analyst for the English television division of Telefilm Canada and served as Manager of Development and Production for CTV Montreal (Bell Media).
