For over 20 years, I was the associate editor then freelancer for Canadian AutoWorld, Canada’s new car dealer magazine. In that time, I chronicled the growth of auto retail in Canada as family-owned dealerships grew into dealer groups and women made their way into the decision-making ranks while Japanese and Korean automakers joined German and Swedish automakers to make the term “The Big Three” passé. Then the internet revolutionised car buying.
