Christopher draws on more than 20 years of writing; strategic communications, media relations, and political campaign management experience to support clients enact positive change. Prior to starting Empower Consulting in 2008, Christopher held a number of public affairs roles in the non-profit, private, and public sectors. Christopher is a frequent media commentator on public policy issues and has written numerous op-ed articles for major Canadian newspapers. Christopher has a BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto and was nominated for the Rodrigue-Pageau Scholarship for academic excellence and community involvement while attending the University of Ottawa. Christopher’s reflections on the campaign to restore health care access for refugees in Canada is part of the academic textbook Health Determinants of Underserved Populations in Canada (Athabasca University Press).
