Fiction, creative nonfiction, journalism
Literary fiction (short stories and novels), mystery, science fiction, memoir, personal essay, and literary journalism.
I currently work as a freelance editor, specializing in developmental editing and line editing for fiction and creative nonfiction. I also edit corporate texts and medical news, helping journalists structure news and features articles on complex and often technical topics.
I am a founding editor and previous editor-in-chief and creative nonfiction editor of the literary magazine carte blanche. I also worked for 10 years on literary projects for CBC Radio, including as an editor for Canada Writes. I was co-producer of the true story storytelling series This Really Happened and have taught workshops on storytelling.
I offer a range of editorial services including ongoing coaching and mentoring, developmental and line editing, idea development, manuscript critiques, and reading suggestions.
